Bid for Wellness Services

1. Executive Summary

Development Expertise Center (DEC) is committed to promoting staff well-being as a key element of organizational excellence. This bid proposes a comprehensive Wellness Program outside Addis Ababa to enhance the physical, mental, and social well-being of program staff through sessions on stress management, mindfulness, nutrition awareness, and fitness activities. The program aims to promote a supportive, resilient, and healthy work environment.

2. Background

DEC is a local NGO dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and communities through education, skills development, and livelihood programs. Recognizing the importance of staff wellness, DEC plans to implement a structured initiative to support holistic well-being among its team.

3. Scope of Work
Wellness Sessions & Activities:

• Interactive sessions on stress management, mindfulness, and mental health
• Sessions on nutrition, healthy living, and work-life balance
• Guided physical activities or fitness demonstrations

4.    Deliverables

1. Pre-Event Plan: Schedule, session outlines, and resource list
2. Wellness Sessions: Delivery of all planned activities
3. Materials: Distribution of wellness kits and educational handouts
4. Report: Comprehensive summary report including participant feedback and recommendations

5. Qualifications

• Proven experience in wellness programs, staff retreats, or health-focused workshops
• Expertise in mental health, nutrition, and physical fitness
• Strong facilitation skills with diverse participant groups
• Experience with NGOs is an advantage
• VAT registration and valid, renewed business license

6. Budget

Must cover facilitation, trainer fees, materials, wellness kits, digital resources, monitoring, and evaluation.
A detailed, itemized budget is required.

7. Application Process

Interested service providers can collect the Terms of Reference (TOR) from the Development Expertise Center (DEC) Head Office until September 22, 2025. Completed Technical and Financial Proposals must be submitted in person by September 26, 2025 at the DEC Addis Ababa Coordination Office, located in Yeka Subcity, Woreda 08, Kebele 13/14, around Shola Market.
