TENDER ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PRINTING OF ACCELERATED LEARNING PROGRAM TEXT BOOK AND FACILITATORS GUIDES

Gayo pastoral Development Initiative (GPDI) is implementing “Bridging the Learning Gap: Holistic Education Support for Crisis-Affected Children in Gumi Eldalo Woreda of East Borana” project with the support of UNOCHA/EHF. Among the activities are procurement of ALP students Textbook for ALP Students,

GPDI would like to invite all interested and qualified printing firms for the printing of educational materials for Accelerated Learning Program textbooks and Facilitators guides to be used in the implementation of the project.

REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA:

1. Renewed trade license of 2018 EC and up-to-date tax payment certificate

2. Tax Payer registration certificate

3. VAT registration certificate

4. Ability to deliver the required number of ALP Students Textbook at the right time and place

5. The delivery will be in one month from the date of signing the contract Agreement

6. Good experience in supplying the item as per the given specifications.

7. Able to provide sample print of the books before mass printing for approval at Oromia Education bureau.

8. Ability to provide a headed receipt bearing the name of the firm.

9. The financial and technical proposals submitted by bidders should bear the official seal of the firm, and be signed by the authorized personnel.

10. The bidders should include the VAT/TOT cost on the total price

11. All pages of the bid document must have the bidder’s official seal and address.

12. Documents without the seal and address of the Bidder will not be accepted.

13. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of 2% of the total bid price in C.P.O issued from the bank only.

14. GPDI reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to amend the bidding process.

15. All document certificates, and handwriting should be neat, visible, readable and validated

16. All bidders who have valid licenses for the current year can obtain a complete set of bidding documents from the GPDI Head office in Addis Ababa located at Mekanisa Seminary, Yemisrach Dimts building 3rd floor during working hours upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Birr 500.00 (Five hundred birr only).

17. Bids should be clearly marked “Printing of Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) textbook” and submitted to the GPDI Head Office: Addis Ababa, Mekanisa Seminary, Yemisrach Dimts building 3rd floor.

18. Bidders should submit their financial and technical proposals clearly marked as “ORIGINAL” and “COPY”. In the event of any discrepancy between them, the original shall prevail.

Note:

• Bid period/floating time: From September 29, 2025 – October 10, 2025. Bidders can get the bid document from Monday to Friday during office working hours from GPDI head office
• Submit the Bid document only at (Addis Ababa) Mekanisa Seminary, Yemisrach Dimts building 3rd floo in person.
• Date and time of bid close: October 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM. 
• Date and time of bid opening: The bid will be opened in the presence of bidders or their official delegates on October 10, 2025, at 3:30 pm.
• Place of bid opening: Addis Ababa Head Office

Note: GPDI reserves the right to accept or reject the bid entirely or partially and is not obliged to choose the lowest price.
