ANNOUNCEMENT FOR HIRING EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICE

• Task: Hiring External Audit Firm

Mary Joy Ethiopia is a non-government-not-for-profit organization operating in Ethiopia since 1994. The organization envisions a world where vulnerable individuals realize their potential for a better future. It is dedicated to improving the lives of underserved groups through execution of integrated development and humanitarian programs.

Presently Mary Joy works in close partnership with many development partners in Addis Ababa, and other five regions covering more than 73 woredas and 342 kebeles.

TASK DESCRIPTION

Mary Joy Ethiopia operates its programs in line with the national laws, and its policies. Accordingly, as per the charity and societies directive NO. 8/2011 Mary Joy Ethiopia (MJE) is seeking external Audit firms to undertake the Audit of its Accounts for the period from January 2025 – December 2025. In addition, the financial statements are prepared in accordance with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).

Hence, Mary Joy Ethiopia would like to hire external audit firm to carry out the audit tasks for the aforementioned period.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicant audit firms bid submission requirements:

• Original and copies of Financial and Technical Proposals sealed with separate envelopes marked Original and Copy on the faces of the envelopes.
• Financial proposals (quotation) must disclose professional fees, VAT and other costs separately. Price offers must be submitted in local currency – Ethiopian Birr (ETB)

TECHNICAL PROPOSALS MUST INCLUDE:

• The firm’s profile
• Trade license (Renewed for current year)
• Professional License
• Copies of Tax Identification & Value added tax certificates.
• Evidence for Current Tax Payment.
• Evidence of Years of Experience and recommendations.
• Curriculum vitae of the proposed professional(s) with supporting document.
• Certificate of Competence from the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).

TIME TO COMPLETE THE AUDIT TASK

The audit service will be started in the beginning of February 2026 and will be finalized and reported within a month.

HOW TO APPLY

Interested applicant Audit Firms should submit their technical & financial proposal with a copy of their credentials, and application letter. You can submit your Financial & Technical proposal from Monday to Friday, Morning 8:30 AM -12:30 AM, and Afternoon 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM to MJE’s Head Office.

Closing date & time will be 4.00 PM of the seven days including weekends and public holidays from the date of this notice in the reporter
