Biodiversity Education Situation and Gap Analysis in Ethiopia with focus to South West Ethiopia Peoples Region
Background
NABU Ethiopia, a legally registered local NGO working in partnership with NABU Germany, invites qualified and legally registered consultants or consulting firms to submit technical and financial proposals for conducting a Situation and Gap Analysis on Biodiversity Education in Ethiopia, with a particular focus on the South West Ethiopia Peoples Region (SWEPR).
This assignment forms part of the project “SYMBIOTIC and Mainstreaming of Biodiversity Targets for Innovative transformation and behavioral Change”, a multi-country initiative implemented across Africa and Asia. The project aims to strengthen biodiversity awareness, mainstream biodiversity into national education systems, and promote conservation through transformative learning and capacity development. Ethiopia, being one of the world’s key biodiversity hotspots, represents a priority country for this initiative. The findings of this assessment will guide the design of educational tools, capacity-building programs, and policy inputs aimed at enhancing biodiversity conservation and supporting Ethiopia’s sustainable development goals.
Eligibility and Application
Legally registered individual consultants or firms with a valid, renewed license and proven expertise in biodiversity education, environmental education, curriculum analysis, or biodiversity conservation research are invited to apply.
