EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICES

In Ethiopia, we help protect children from abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence often associated with harmful traditional practices, such as child marriage. We also train communities to reduce risks associated with natural disasters, before, during and after the emergency.

Children Believe, a civil society organization registered with the Authority for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO) pursuant to CSO Proclamation No. 1113/2019, prepares its financial statements in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). Children Believe hereby invites audit firms certified and authorized by the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE) to submit technical and financial proposals for external audit services for the fiscal year ended 31 December 2025, covering the Children Believe Country Office in Addis Ababa and its eight (8) Children Believe funded programs and one (1) project in Ethiopia. Bidders must demonstrate proven experience auditing IPSAS-based CSO accounts and familiarity with Ethiopia’s CSO compliance requirements.

The Audit Firms who can meet the following minimum qualifications are invited to submit their technical and financial proposals.

• Renewed licence for the year 2017/2018 Ethiopian Calendar
• Legal license to provide audit services including registration by the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE)
• Present authorization by the Ethiopian Charities and Societies Agency to conduct audits for NGOs (non-profit organizations)
• TIN and VAT registration certificate(s)
• Previous experience in providing similar service for international NGOs and IPSAS based accounting
• Present a list of similar non-profit organizations served by the firm.
• Pay 500.00 ETB to buy bid Documents and Receive Cash Receipt voucher.
• Present qualified and experienced staff for the audit service
