INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
BID No. NCB/STWSSSE/02/2018

1. The Shashemene Town Water Supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise has Secured budget from municipality and Shashemene Town Water Supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise for the drilling and Construction of large diameter of two 500m deep wells with Supply & Installation of full set Electromechanical material plus Required Rising Pipe with fittings.

2. Shashemene Town Water Supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise (STWSSSE) now invites eligible and competitive bidders for the contract of water well drilling, installation of casings, gravel packing, well development, Pump test & water quality test, platform construction for pumps and completion of the wells including the supply & Installation of Electromechanical material and Rising Pipe with fittings & all other required materials as per specified in the BOQ.

3. Interested eligible competitive bidders having Similar & equivalent work Experience may obtain further information from utility and inspect the bidding documents. 4. A Complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested competitive bidders upon presentation of renewed relevant license for 2018EFY, Registration certificate issued from Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Energy, VAT registration certificate, Tax Identification Number (TIN) and copy of ID Card together to the above office and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 1000 (One Thousand) Ethiopian Birr only.

5 Bids mist be delivered to the above office on or before November 20, 2025 at 11:00AM and must be accompanied by a bid Security of 500,000 (ETB Five Hundred Thousand) in the form of CPO or Unconditional Bank guarantee and Bids shall be valid for a period of One Hundred Twenty (120) days after hid opening.

6.Bid will be opened in the presence of bidder’s representatives who choose to attend at: 11:30 AM on the same day i.e. November 20, 2025, at the Ground floor, Shashemene town Water Supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise.

7.Contractors that have agreement of a water well drilling and construction with the OW EB and his execution of the contract agreement work not less than 80% (Eighty) are not allowed to participate on the bid.

8. Completion time for the drilling and construction of water well work shall be Two hundred Eighty (280) calendar days.

8. Ail eligible Bidders Will be obliged to submit Wax sealed envelopes, one Original and two copies for both financial and technical documents have to be submitted by sealing with wax for each envelope separately and then submit in one mother envelope.

10. The Enterprise reserves the right to reject part and/ or all bids.
