REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR THE PROVISION OF NUTRITION TRAINING SERVICES TO AGRITERRA ETHIOPIA
Purpose
Agritera in Ethiopia invites qualified companies and organizations to submit proposals for the provision of nutrition training services in Addis Ababa, Oromia, and Sidama regions. The engagement will be from mid-November 2025 10 September 2028, with services to be delivered in accordance with the terms and conditions that will be outlined in the contract agreement.
Background
Agriterra is a Dutch NGO established and guided by farmers organizations and agricultural cooperatives in the Netherlands. Its core mandate is to strengthen farmer producer organizations worldwide. Since 2012, Agritera has been actively operating in Ethiopia, with interventions across The Amhara, Oromia. Tigray. Sidama. South West Ethiopia Peoples’. South Ethiopia, and Central regions, as well as in the Dire Dawa City Administration.
The Accelerating Climate Resilient Food Systems in Ethiopia (ACRFSE) project is a multi-partner initiative designed to enhance the climate and financial resilience of 10,000 smallholder farmers engaged in soybean, teff, and maize production, alongside their cooperatives. By addressing climate induced shocks and post-harvest losses-particularly those linked to increasing aflatoxin contamination-the project promotes climate-smart agricultural practices. Introduces improved ventilated storage facilities, and reduces food waste. Through these interventions. ACRFSE strengthens food quality, safety, and market competitiveness while advancing nutrition and household food security. By integrating improved production, cooperative capacity building, market-oriented processing, and community-level nutrition training, the project delivers a holistic, value chain-based approach to building resilient and sustainable food systems in Ethiopia.
Scope of Work
Agriterra requires nutrition training services in the Addis Ababa. Oromia (particularly cities surrounding Addis Ababa, and Shashamene), and Hawassa in the Sidama regions. The selected service provider will be contracted for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance. Interested nutrition training companies/organization should submit their proposals, including the following requirements:
- Taxpayer identification certificate. VAT registration certificate, and valid, renewed trade licenses.
- Organizational profile, including full address and relevant past service experience, particularly with INGOS or private companies.
- Renewed business license.
- Evidence of tax compliance for the fiscal year 2017EC.
General Information
The submission of a proposal does not constitute a legally binding agreement between Agriterra and any supplier. It is part of a selection process intended to identify a supplier that offers the best service delivery, value, and capability to meet the project’s objectives. A contract will be signed with the selected supplier, outlining the Terms of Reference (TOR). Agriterra reserves the right to select suppliers at its discretion and is not obligated to award the contract to the lowest bidder. The organization may cancel the RFP process at any stage before contract execution. Any attempt to influence the selection process will result in automatic disqualification. The detailed TOR outlining the requirements for nutrition training services can be obtained by sending a request via email.
Application Guidelines
Interested applicants must submit their technical and financial proposals, along with all required documents, in a sealed. envelope before 4:00 PM on November 7,2025. All documents must be submitted in hard copy, in a sealed and stamped envelope, to the address below:
