Client:-Hawassa City Water supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise

1. Hawassa City Water Supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise is the responsible for supply of safe and adequate quantity of water to the city of Hawassa which inhabits more than half a million population. Now, the enterprise wants to conduct a feasibility study of additional water sources in order to ensure sustainable supply of drinking water to the city by hiring a consultant.

Hence, the enterprise invites eligible and qualified consultants to undertake a feasibility study of the water supply Project.

2. The project in short comprises but not limited to the following: Assessment of feasible and sustainable drinking water supply sources that can meet the water demand of Hawassa City in the present and for the coming 50 years. It consists: assessment of potential water sources within 50km radius from the city center, feasibility study and detailed design of the selected water sources.

3. Bidders must obtain national license for consultancy service with a valid license for the current yearand must have specific experience in the field of urban water supply.

4. Bids shall be valid for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after Bid opening. Bids must be accompanied by bid security 100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand) ETB Cash payment Order (CPO). Bank Guarantee Or Insurance Guarantee is Rejected. They shall be delivered to Hawassa Water Supply and sewerage Service Enterprise head office; Room number 19 Hawassa, on or before 2:00 p.m. on 30th day of this bid announcement on the Ethiopian Herald Newspaper. Bids shall be opened at 2:30 p.m. on 30th day in the presence of the bidders/ their representatives who wish to attend. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.

5. A complete set of a TOR written in English may be purchased directly from the Hawassa Water Supply and sewerage Service Enterprise, Room number 19 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 1000.00 (One hundred birr) by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address indicated below.

6. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address given below and inspect the TOR at that address from 8:30 a.m to 12:30 pm & from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 am to 11:30 am & from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Friday.

7.The Hawassa City Water Supply and sewerage Service Enterprise reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
