Assignment Title: Feasibility study and detailed design of the Yemba Sisim Irrigation Scheme, which involves diversion from perennial rivers/streams covering area of [400 Ha]) for Asosa Zone, Abramo Woreda, Yemba Sisim Kebele.

The [geverenment of ethiopia has received to apply for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the [Feasibility study and detailed design of the Yemba Sisim Irrigation Scheme)], and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting service (“the Services”) includes listed expected output the study:
- A comprehensive feasibility and design report for the small scale irrigation scheme
- Detailed and clear site maps of a scale equal or better than 1:500 with 0.5m contour intervals, detailed Digital Terrain Model and high-resolution. The weir cross section of both vertical and horizontal shall be prepared at a scale of 1:100 indicating the pertinent features to the head works.
- Data tables, charts and modeling and work sheets and assumptions applied for all designs
- Maps showing the proposed irrigation layout for the irrigation structures
- Designed canal alignment, profile and cross-section of the canal structure
- Recommendation on risks and mitigation strategies
- Determine Operation and maintenance of the irrigation system to ensure long- term functionality.
- Provide detail design, bill of quantity and Cost estimation with implementation plan
- Recommendations for irrigation frequency and duration based on crop growth stages and climatic conditions; estimated level of effort (professional staff- months), implementation period 90 days from contract signing, expected start date of assignment will be within 7 days from contract signing ensuring full consistency with the TOR referred to in this REOI.

The Benishangul Gumuz Regional State, Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP-II) now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: [firms’ core business and years in business, relevant experience, technical and managerial capability of the firm]. Key Experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 [September 2023 fifth edition ] (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. In addition, please refer to the specific information on conflict of interest related to this assignment: [on paragraph 3.17 and sub paragraph a,b,c and d of the Procurement Regulations]. Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the [least cost selection method] method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
