EXTENSION OF BID OPENING DATE

It is to be recalled that Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway Share Company (EDR) invited International Competitive Bids for the procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) services, which was published in The Herald newspaper on January 6, 2026.

Notice of Extension

Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway Share Company hereby extends the bid submission and opening date to allow interested eligible bidders additional time to prepare their bids.

Accordingly:

1. Bid Submission Deadline:

Bids must be delivered to the address indicated in the bidding documents on or before 02:00 PM on March 16,2026.

2. Bid Opening Date and Time:

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 02:30 PM on March 16,2026 at “Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway Share Company (EDR). Furi Labu station, tendering and contracting Office Room No.110.

3. Bid Security:

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Certified Payment Order (CPO) or an Unconditional Bank Guarantee issued by a recognized bank and/or counter- guaranteed by the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, as specified in the bidding documents.

4. Other Conditions:

All other terms and conditions stated in the original bidding document remain unchanged and in full force.
