Abay Insurance S.C. was established in July 2010 in accordance with the licensing and supervision of insurance business proclamation No. 86/1994. Currently, the company is providing General and Long Term (Life Assurance) service under 52 branch offices that operate in different regions of the country. The company has registered a remarkable growth since establishment and has managed to build a sustainable and fruitful business relationship with various types of clients having a multitude of activities.

Abay Insurance S.C. (AISCO) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply, Installation, Customization, Integration, DataMigration, Testing, Commissioning, Training, Warranty. and Support Services of a Core Life Insurance System Configuration, (CLIS).

1. Interested bidders may obtain the bidding document from the Facility Management Department of Abay Insurance S.C. upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 1,000.00 (One Thousand Birr).

2. The bidding period shall remain open from 08 June 2026 to 30 August 2026.

3. The technical and financial bid documents shall be submitted separately in a single wax-sealed envelope on or before 30 August 2026 at 3:00 p.m. (Ethiopian Local Time). Submissions must be deposited in the tender box designated for this purpose at Abay Insurance S.C. Head Office, 2nd Floor, located around Atlas Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

4. Bids shall be opened in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend on 30 August 2026 at 3:30 P.M. at Abay Insurance S.C. Head Office, 8th Floor Meeting Room, located around Atlas Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

5. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security equal to 2% of the total bid price, or its equivalent in USD. The bid security must be in the form of an unconditional bank guarantee or a Cash Payment Order (CPO) issued by a reputable local financial institution.

6. Bidders shall submit valid copies of:

• Trade License
• TIN Certificate
• VAT Registration Certificate and
• Tax Clearance Certificate

7. Late bids, incomplete bids, or bids not accompanied by the required Bid Security shall be rejected.

9. Abay Insurance S.C. reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, in whole or in part, and to annul the bidding process at any time prior to contract award.
