Open bid Invitation

TO: Contractors and suppliers registered in Civil Water Works Construction & /or supply and installation of electromechanical equipment’s with renewed valid license for the budget year.

1. Menschen für Menschen Foundation is seeking sealed bids for the construction, supply, and installation of solar pumps & accessories for rural water supply & irrigation systems in five locations within the Babile, Damba -Gofa & Boreda Woredas of the Somali and South Regions respectively. The project is fully funded, and the Foundation is inviting eligible bidders to provide the necessary labor, materials, and equipment.

2.Bidding is open to eligible contractors and/or suppliers holding a valid Grade 5 or above trade license in Water Works Construction (WWC) and/or specialized registration for the supply and installation of electromechanical (E&M) equipment, renewed for the current Ethiopian fiscal year.

3.A completed set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidders on the submission of a written application to the office of Menschen für Menschen Foundation Project Coordination Office, A.A. around Bulbulla in front of Aser concrete mixing plant upon payment of non-refundable Birr 500.00.

4.The technical and financial proposals shall be submitted before the opening time indicated below and must be in a wax sealed separate envelopes.

6. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, in an acceptable CPO or unconditional bank guarantee for 1 % of the project cost or bid amount including VAT.

7. Bid Submission Deadline: Bids must be delivered to the address specified in Item 3 above at or before 2:00 p.m. on the 10th calendar day following the publication of this bid announcement.

8. Bid Opening: Bids will be opened publicly in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend at 2:30 p.m. on the same date at the address specified in Item 3 above. If the closing date falls on a weekend or an official public holiday, bid submission and opening will take place on the next working day at the same time and venue.

9. The time for completion for the whole of the works shall be 3 (three) months from the commencement date.

10. Bidder are requested to fill all necessary details in the schedules.
