Invitation to Tender

Bid Announcement No. SSNT-T564

Ethiopian Airlines Group intends to invite interested and qualified bidders with Category 1 General and Road contractors GC-1/RC-1 for the Design-Build bid of the Jimma Airfield Reconstruction Project.

The bid is open to all local and international bidders which have local trade license to participate on national competitive bids and any legally established bidders in Ethiopia with renewed Trade License for the current year (2024-2025), Valid Tax clearance, VAT registration certificate, Tax Payer Identification Certificate (TIN) & Tax clearance cer- tificate stating the bidder is eligible to participate in any public tender and valid at least at the deadline for submission of bids can get the tender document.

Bidders should deposit non-refundable ETB one hundred (100.00 Birr) to the nearby Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), referring this tender number SSNT-T564 to Ethiopian Airlines Group Account Number 1000006958277(E-99). Bidders shall email the scanned copy of the deposit slip to the address below and will get the Tender docu- ment by return Email.

Bidders shall furnish bid security in the form of CPO or unconditional and irrevocable bank guarantee with an amount of Five Hundred Thousand Birr (ETB 500,000.00) in the name of Ethiopian Airlines Group. Any insurance and conditional guarantee shall not be accepted.

Bids shall be valid for a period of 150 calendar days after tender opening. Ethiopian Airlines Group has the right to request the Bidder to extend the validity period of the proposal for an additional day.

The design and construction of the works shall be completed within 300 calendar days from the commencement of the work.

Bidders must submit their sealed bid document in separate envelopes i.e., the (Technical Proposal, Financial Offer, and Bid Security) and one outer envelope duly marking the inner envelopes as “ORIGINAL” and “COPIES” document delivered to Ethiopian Airlines, Strategic Sourcing Non Technical section before/on September 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The bid will be opened on the same date at 3:30PM, at Ethiopian Airlines Group head office, bid opening room in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
