Invitation to Local Competitive Bid 

Bid No. 005/2025

Humedica e.V Ethiopia invites qualified and experienced contractors to participate in the bid for the Renovation, Construction, and Maintenance of Two Houses in Bishoftu, Oromia Regional State.

Eligible contractors must possess Grade 6 BC or GC and above, or be specialized in joinery works, and must be VAT-registered.

Bid Document Collection & Submission Details:

1. Collection of Bid Documents:

• A complete set of bid documents can be collected free of charge from the Humedica e.V Ethiopia Country Office at the address provided below.
• Collection time: Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m., starting from the date of this announcement.

2. Required Documents for Submission:

Renewed contractor’s license and trade license.

• VAT registration certificate.
• Company profile, including staff CVs, list of owned equipment and vehicles.
• Relevant legal documents and testimonials of recently completed similar projects, preferably within the stated project location.

3. Bid Submission Format:

• Original financial proposal with a Birr 10,000 CPO in the name of Humedica e. V, in a sealed envelope marked “ORIGINAL FINANCIAL”.
• Original technical proposal in a separate sealed envelope marked “ORIGINAL TECHNICAL”.
• Both original envelopes should be placed in a single sealed outer envelope.
• Copies of both financial and technical proposals should be sealed separately, marked “COPY FINANCIAL” and “COPY TECHNICAL”, and enclosed together in another sealed envelope.

4. Evaluation Criteria:

• Bids will be evaluated based on both financial and technical submissions.
• Missing or unclear documents may result in a low score or disqualification.

5. Submission Deadline:

• All bids must be submitted to the Humedica e.V Ethiopia Country Office within 10 consecutive working days from the date of this announcement, before 2:00 p.m..

6. Bid Opening:

Bids will be opened on the next working day after submission, at 10:30 a.m., in the presence of bidders or their legal representatives who choose to attend, at the Humedica e.V Ethiopia Country Office.

7. Additional Requirements:

The winning bidder must provide a 5% performance guarantee of the total contract price in the form of an unconditional bank guarantee.

Bids must remain valid for 60 days after opening. Contractors are strongly advised to read the full bid document and to visit the houses before preparing their proposals.

Humedica e.V Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject all or part of any bid if deemed necessary for the best interest of the project.
