Invitation for Bid (IFB)
1. The Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Water and Energy Resource Development Bureau invites eligible bidders with renewed licenses for 2017/2018 E.C., registration card issued from the Ministry of Trade, VAT registration certificate, and Tax identification number (TIN).
2. The source of the Fund is the UNICEF WASH Emergency Fund.
3. The location of the sites are:-
Lot 1. Assosa Zone Menge Woreda Kashaf kebele supply and installation of the solar power pumps and its accessories for BH1&BH2 with procurement reference no:- bgrsweb/Unicef wash emergency/solar/09/2025.
Lot 2. Assosa Zone Sherkole woreda Gizen kebele supply and installation of the solar power pumps and its accessories for borehole 01 with procurement reference no:- bgrsweb/Unicef wash emergency/ solar/10/2025.
Lot 3. Assosa Zone Kurmuk Woreda Dule-hode kebele supply and installation of the solar power pumps and its accessories for borehole 01 with procurement reference no:- bgrsweb/Unicef wash emergency/ solar/11/2025
An interested bidder can purchase a complete set of bidding documents in English from the day that the advertisement appears in the Ethiopian Herald newspaper at the Ministry of Water & Energy compound Addis Ababa during normal working hours upon payment of a non-returnable fee of Ethiopian Birr 3000.00/ Three thousand birr only /the method of payment will be in cash.
4. The eligible bidders are expected to go through the bidding document and submit originals and copies of their technical and financial proposals as well as bid security in separate wax-sealed envelopes addressed to Benishangul Gumuz Region Water and Energy Resources Development Bureau, the place of the closed bid is at Ministry of Water and Energy Addis Ababa, on or before 2:00 PM on or before 21st calendar days from the last advertisement date notice on The Ethiopian Herald and bids shall be opened at 2:30 PM at the Ministry of Water, and Energy compound on the presence of the bidders who wish to attend. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. If the 21st Calendar Day is a holiday, it will be on the next working day
5. Bidding will be conducted by the opening tender procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders.
6. Bids shall be valid for a period of Sixty 60 days and Bid Security shall be Valid for 90 Days after Bid opening. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, in an acceptable (CPO or bank guarantee) form amounting to lot-1 500,000 Birr (Five hundred Thousand Birr), lot-2 400,000 Birr (Four hundred Thousand Birr) and lot-3 300,000 Birr (Three hundred Thousand Birr).
7. Bidders should provide qualification requirements which include: (i) The Bidder shall furnish a financial statement of the firm for the last three years to Conform financial turnover of at least equal to the bid price if it is an experienced firm, (ii) Necessarily supplying goods and works limited to experienced firms also we will consider the three years’ experience on supply and installation solar power pump and surface and submersible water pump
8. The Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Water and Energy Resources
Development Bureau reserve the right to reject all or part of the bid.
9. A Bidder shall purchase all lots and should return and biding for only one lot. However, if the bidder has summited more than one lot, they will be disqualified.
