WaterAid is a global federation working to improve access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). As a leading WASH actor, WaterAid has played a key role in transforming the lives of poor and marginalised communities. In Ethiopia, WaterAid has been active in the WASH sector since 1991, driven by the vision that everyone, everywhere have access to sustainable WASH services. To further its commitment,

WaterAid Ethiopia (WAE) invites eligible and qualified consultancy firms to submit bids for the Supply, installation, and commissioning of Inline Chlorination systems with Onsite Chlorine Generation In North Mecha and South Acheter Districts

Bid Participation and Submission Guidelines:

1. Terms of Reference (TOR):

The TOR will be provided to interested bidders who register their email addresses at the registration desk located at WaterAid Ethiopia’s reception, between October 16-29, 2025, during working hours (08:30 AM – 12:30 PM and 01:30 PM-05:00 PM).

2. Online Access:

Alternatively, bidders may download the invitation and TOR from our website: www.wateraid.org/et 

3. Eligibility Documents:

Bids must include a renewed business license, company registration certificate, and TIN registration certificate. These documents should be submitted together with the technical proposal.

4. Bid Submission Deadline:

All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the WAE office no later than October 30, 2025, by 2:30 PM.

5. Bid Security:

A bid bond of 2% of the total fee is required, in the form of a bank guarantee or CPO valid for at least three (3) months from the date of bid opening. The original bid bond must be attached to the original financial proposal.

6. Envelope Identification:

Envelopes must clearly display the bidder’s name, address, legal stamp, and the reference number Ref: ICH/OB/25/ R10/00018.

7. Proposal Format:

The technical and financial proposals must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes, each marked “ORIGINAL” and “COPY”. Each copy must be stamped and sealed. In the case of any discrepancies, the original version will be considered final.

8. Bid Opening:

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend on October 30, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the WaterAid Ethiopia office.

9. Disclaimer:

WaterAid Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Late submissions will not be accepted.
