TO: Contractors and suppliers registered in Civil Water Works Construction

• (Lot-1), & supply & installation of electromechanical equipment’s
• (Lot-2), with renewed valid license for the budget year.

1.Menschen für Menschen Foundation is seeking sealed bids for the construction, supply, and installation of rural water supply systems in three locations: Daremini, Al-Ethiopia & Idishale villages within the Fafan Zone of the Somali Region. The project is fully funded, and the Foundation is inviting eligible bidders to provide the necessary labor, materials, and equipment. The work is divided into two lots with specific licensing requirements:

Lot 1: Civil Water Works:

Open to contractors with water works construction grade, WWC-7 (or higher) license that is valid for the current year.

Lot 2: Supply & Installation of Electromechanical Equipment: Open to suppliers with a Grade-5 (or higher) license in the supply and installation of EM equipment, valid for the current year.

2.A completed set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidders on the submission of a written application to the office of Menschen für Menschen Foundation Project Coordination Office, A.A around Bulbulla in front of Aser concrete mixing plant upon payment of non-refundable Birr 500.00 per lot.

3.The technical and financial proposal have to be submitted before the opening time indicated below and must be in a wax sealed separate envelopes.

4.Bidders may obtain further information from, inspect and acquire the bidding documents at aforementioned address; P. Box 2568, Tel: 251-11-471-43-58/20/4579, Fax 251-11-471-4163, A.A Ethiopia.

5.All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, in an acceptable CPO for 1% of the project cost for each lot separately.

6.The deadline for submission of bids shall be at or before 2:00 p.m. on 10th working day of the announcement of this invitation for bids notice and must be submitted at the address specified under item (2) above.

7.Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend in person at 2:30 p.m. on 10th calendar day of the announcement at aforementioned address specified under item (2). If there will be public holiday & weekends on this date, the closing and opening of the bid will take place on the next working day at the same time and the same venue.

8.The supply, installation and construction of the whole work shall be completed within a maximum of 6 months from the commencement of the work.

9. Bidder can compute for both lots at a time provided that he/she has eligible license for both lots & hence are requested to fill all necessary details in the schedules for both lots separately.

10. Menschen für Menschen Foundation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the bids.
