Invitation for BID
(Bid Ref: MFM/SHW & BH/06/2025/NCB)

To: All contractors registered for Water Works well drilling & rehabilitation of category grade 3 (WDRC-3) and above with renewed license valid for the year.

1. Menschen für Menschen Foundation on behalf of community of project intervention areas of Gamo and Gofa Zone, South Region, has allocated budget for the drilling & construction of 7 Shallow wells & 1 borehole located at various sites of aforementioned zones in two lots as indicated in the bid document and now invites wax sealed bids from eligible bidders for providing the necessary labor, material and equipment for selected site, drilling, construction and completion of the aforementioned work.

2. A completed set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidders on the submission of a written application to the office of Menschen für Menschen Foundation Project Coordination Office, A.A around Bulbulla in front of Aser concrete mixing plant upon payment of non-refundable Birr 500.00.

3. The technical and financial proposal have to be submitted before the opening time indicated below and must be in a wax sealed separate envelopes.

4. Bidders may obtain further information from, inspect and acquire the bidding documents at aforementioned address; P. Box 2568, Tel: 251-11-471-4358/20/4579, Fax 251-11-471-4163, A.A. Ethiopia.

5. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, in an acceptable CPO for 1% of the project cost.

6. The deadline for submission of bids shall be at or before 2:00 p.m. on 10th Calendar Day of the announcement of this invitation for bids notice and must be submitted at the address specified under item (2) above.

7. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend in person at 2:30 p.m. on 10th calendar day of the announcement at aforementioned address specified under item (2). If there will be public holiday & weekends on this date, the closing and opening of the bid will take place on the next working day at the same time and the same venue.

8. The Construction of the works shall be completed with maximum of 90 days from the commencement of the work for both lots (30 days for Boreda-BH & 90 days for Sawula-shallow wells).

9. Bidders are requested to fill all necessary details in the schedules. 

10. Menschen für Menschen Foundation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the bids.
