Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organizations (ASDEPO), in partnership with its donors, want to purchase  Fresh food items for School Feeding Program for the Strengthening the Nutrition Sensitivity of Social Protection in Ethiopia through School Feeding and Productive Safety Nets Programs in Afar Region. Oromia Region East Harerge and Boreno Zone. Hence, ASDEPO invites interested & eligible bidders located at Borena Zone, around Yabello City that are qualified, technically competent, and have a valid trade license for the current Ethiopian FY to participate in the bid.

Bid Requirement

1.  Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Directives of the Organization and other Relevant Laws of the Country, and is open only to Borena Zone, Yabello and Mlyo eligible bidders.
2. Bidders shall present a copy of the renewed Trade license. Certificate of registration. Tax Clearance certification, VAT Registration Certificate, and TIN Registration Certificate as part of the technical proposal
3.  Local aggregator based in Borena Zone, preferably operating within Yabello or Miyo Woredas.
4. Demonstrate previous experience in supplying similar food items to institutions (such as schools, NGOs, or govemment programs).
5.  Provide a recommendation letter from the respective local government authority.
6. Show commitment to sourcing from local farmers, with preference given to aggregators who are willing /able to collect products from PSNP beneficiary households of the project under implementation.
7.  Have an established local presence in Yabello/Miyo, including warehouse/storage facilities, which will be visited and verified during the bid evaluation process.
8.  The bid document submission must be accompanied by a Bid Bond Amount 50,000.00 birr in the form of an Unconditional Cashier’s Payment Order (C.P.O)
9. Bidders should indicate whether the price includes or excludes VAT.
10. Bid should be submitted in two separate sealed envelopes, Financial and Technical proposals, addressed to ASDEPO.
11.  The envelopes should clearly indicate the invitation to bid reference number Ref. “ASDEPO/ITB/013/2026”
12. Bid document must be deposited in the bid box prepared for this purpose at our Yabelo field office, located on new asphalt road (Ola Roba) on or before February 12, 2026, 03:00 PM (Afternoon)
13.  Bid opening shall be held by February 12, 2026, 03:30 PM (Afternoon) with the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who want to attend.
14.  Winners shall deliver the items within a maximum of one week after the Award letter is received.
15.  The delivery location of fresh food items shall be transport at Boreno Zone Yabelo Waredo three schools (Beke/Arboro, Kukuba, and Kedale Primary Schools) and Miya Woreda four schools (Meti. Silala. Mlyo, and Boku Megalla Primary Schools).
16.  Interested and eligible aggregaton are inviting to collect the bid document from ASDEPO’s field office in Yabella Borena during working hours.
17.  The eligible bidders shall submit their Bid Quotation in the bid submission table presented below.

19.  Failure to comply with any of the conditions stated above shall entail automatic rejection.
20. ASDEPO retains the right to fully or partially cancel the bid, it better options are avaled
