Request for Information (RFI): Invitation to Join
the Approved Supplier List

1. Introduction

Ethiopian Railway Corporation is initiating a formal process to establish a pre qualified list of suppliers for the provision of list of goods, service and works stated in below. We are inviting experienced and reputable suppliers to submit their information for consideration.

2. Background

This initiative aims to create a vetted roster of suppliers to streamline our future procurement processes for goods, service and works ensuring efficiency, competitive pricing, and high-quality standards for upcoming projects and requirements over the next 2 years.

3. Scope of Service, Goods and work

The scope includes, but is not limited to:

• Category 1:- Supply of Road construction works materials
• Category 2:- Supply of Building construction works materials
• Category 3:- Supply of Construction machinery and equipment’s spare parts Category
• Category 4:- Supply of light Vehicles and construction trucks spare parts
• Category 5:-Supply of Oil, and Lubricants for light Vehicles, Construction trucks, Construction machinery and equipment’s.
• Category 6:- Supply of Batching Plant spare parts
• Category 7:- Office General Items
• Category 8:- Construction Equipment’s, Machinery and light and heavy vehicles rental
• Category 9:- Contractors and Subcontractors
• Category 10:- Consultant and sub consultant
• Category 11:- Service supplier related to construction projects (Legal, training, Audit, Cleaning etc…)

4. Pre-Qualification Form

Interested suppliers shall collect the pre qualification form for each work, service or goods RFI document from our website www.erc.gov.et  or in person from our head office located Kirkos sub- city, woreda 10, Meshualekia, Sierra Leone Street, Engineering procurement department office no Block 10 Telephone-+251 11 470 2058/+251 96 680 0400/+251 98 003 8735 from date of announcement lasts to 15 consecutive days.

5. Submission Instruction

Interested suppliers must submit all requested supporting documents in person (including Soft copy of Legal documents) to Ethiopian Railways Corporation, head office located at Kirkos sub-city. woreda 10, Meshualekia, Sierra Leone Street at block 10 tender hall, starting from the date of announcement of this invitation notice on Addis Zemen Newspaper, until the closing date, which will be on the 15th day of from date of announcement (17/2/2018 E.C), at 4:00 Am (morning). If it is not a working day, it will be opened the next working day at the same hours.

6. Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on the criteria set on the RFI.

8. Terms and conditions

Successful applicants will be notified in writing and added to our Approved Supplier List. Please note that inclusion on this list does not constitute a contract or guarantee of business but indicates your eligibility to participate in future Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
