The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the African Development Fund toward the cost of the PROGRAM TO BUILD RESILIENCE FOR FOOD AND NUTRITION SECURITY IN THE HORN OF AFRICA (BREFONS) project, implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for the Consultancy Services to conduct the Annual Environmental and Social Compliance (ESC) Audit.

The services to be provided under the Assignment include: conducting an independent, comprehensive, and systematic Environmental and Social Compliance (ESS) Audit of the BREFONS Project. The audit will assess the project’s performance and compliance with the provisions of the project’s Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), national environmental and social legal frameworks, and the African Development Bank’s Integrated Safeguards System (ISS) across all project sites).

The Ministry of Agriculture now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Consultants (firms) must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, financial stands, have experience with financers etc.)

Eligibility criteria, the establishment of the short-list, and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, October 2015 Edition available on the Bank Website at http://www.afdb.org.
