The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia /Recipient/ has received 22910A financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Power Sector Reform, 19 Investment, and Modernization in Ethiopia (PRIME-1) and intends and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include “Consultancy Service to Conduct an Aquatic, Riparian and Terrestrial Biodiversity Assessment for Allalobad and Tendaho Geothermal Sub Project Sits. The assignment of sis the consultant is expected to be completed in 180 calendar days from the commencement date.

The Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested VIED consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to the services. The
shortlisting criteria are:
1. Core business and in business,
2. Relevant experience in the field of assignment,
3. Technical and managerial capability of the firm, and
N.B Individual experts’ bio data/CV is not required to be submitted with the Expression of Interest. Only a summary of educational qualifications and the experience of available personnel are required.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, tatu 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Seventh Edition, September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a Sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the CONSULTANT QUALIFICATION SELECTION (CQS) method set out in the Procurement Regulations. Further information can be obtained at the address below during office hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 hour to 17:00 hour Ethiopian Time. to Expressions of interest must be delivered in written form to the address below ororin person or express mail in hardcopy and electronic copy by May 28, 2026, at 14:00 hour Ethiopian Time.
