Subject: Invitation to Bid for the Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Training, and Support for Smart Hive Monitoring Equipment

Dear Prospective Bidder,

Maritu Api-Products PLC—a woman-led Ethiopian honey and beeswax enterprise building a climate-smart honey value chain—invites qualified and registered suppliers to submit competitive technical and financial proposals for the procurement of a complete Smart Hive Monitoring solution.

The primary assignment objective is to select a capable supplier to deploy 10 to 15 smart hive monitoring units within our dryland beekeeping cluster model in Ziquala Woreda, Wag Himra Zone, Amhara Region. The ideal solution must deliver real-time or near-real-time data (including hive weight, internal temperature, internal humidity, battery level, connectivity status, and acoustics) directly to a centralized web or mobile dashboard.

This procurement covers a complete, usable ecosystem: physical equipment supply, field installation without colony disturbance, dashboard setup with data ownership retained entirely by Maritu, staff user training, and a minimum 24-month comprehensive warranty and technical support plan.

Key Procurement Information:

  • Procuring Entity: Maritu Api-Products PLC

  • Procurement Method: Competitive bid / Request for Quotations (RFQ)

  • Bid Opening Date: Saturday, 6 June 2026

  • Bid Closing Date & Time: Saturday, 20 June 2026

  • Bid Submission Period: Exactly two (2) weeks from the opening date

Submission Guidelines:

Interested bidders are required to review the attached Terms of Reference (ToR) thoroughly. Submissions must be presented in a concise, structured format and split into two distinct parts:

  1. Technical Proposal: Outlining equipment specifications, dashboard functionality, connectivity viability for rural Ethiopia, installation methodology, and proof of similar experience.

  2. Financial Proposal: Disclosing fully itemized unit costs, one-time setup fees, and any necessary recurring or subscription costs. No hidden costs will be tolerated.

Your submission packet must include your company profile, valid business license/legal registration, product datasheets, warranty statement, and the signed Supplier Declaration appended to the ToR.

Please clearly mark your package: “Bid for Supply, Installation and Support of Smart Hive Monitoring Equipment”. Submissions must be received before the closing window on Saturday, 20 June 2026. Late, incomplete, or unsealed submissions will be automatically rejected.

Maritu Api-Products PLC reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and is not obligated to select the lowest-priced offer; evaluation will heavily weigh technical compliance, suitability for rural field conditions, dashboard quality, and after-sales support strength.

We look forward to receiving your comprehensive proposals.
