Production Work and Digital Advocacy Campaign on Childcare Systems and the Rights of Childcare Workers ActionAid Ethiopia invites eligible and qualified production companies to submit technical and financial proposals for the production work and digital advocacy campaign under the Scaling Child Care to Promote Women’s Economic Empowerment and Child Development Project, implemented in partnership with the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) and funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
The assignment aims to produce a high-quality video and social media campaign that amplifies the voices of childcare workers, promotes their rights and recognition, showcases childcare systems in Addis Ababa, and raises public awareness on the importance of investing in quality childcare services.
Scope of the Assignment
The selected production company will be responsible for:
- Concept development, scripting, filming, editing, and production of a 15-to-20-minute video.
- Production of a short advocacy version and social media content.
- Documentation of childcare workers, childcare centres, government stakeholders, and service users in Addis Ababa.
- Engagement and management of qualified social media influencer(s) to support the digital advocacy campaign.
Minimum Requirements
Interested firms should demonstrate:
- Proven experience in documentary and video production for development partners, NGOs, or international organizations.
- Strong storytelling, filming, editing, and postproduction capacity.
- Experience in social media campaigns, social media content development and influencer engagement.
- Knowledge of ethical storytelling, safeguarding, and human rights- based communication.
Proposal Submission

- Legally required documents (renewed license and TIN certificate,
- VAT registration) as well as credentials must be submitted.
- Date for submission of tender documents is on July 3, 2026, on or before 2:00 PM (bid closing time).

- Bidders must provide CV and application letter together with a complete set of technical and financial documents “Original” and “Copy” in a separately sealed envelope with one copy for each.
- The winner is required to comply with ActionAid’s SHEA and Safeguarding Policies which will be delivered to them together with the contract agreement and must be filled and returned to AAE. If the winner fails to do this, the award will be cancelled automatically.
