Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an independent humanitarian and development organization established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. With presence in over 40 countries around the globe IRW has been responding to humanitarian needs and fighting poverty for over the last 40 years. Similarly, it has been operating in Ethiopia since 2004 in Addis Ababa City, Somali, and Afar National Regional States.

1. ISLAMIC RELIEF ETHIOPIA (IRE) now invites all eligible contractors registered and renewed licensed under the category of construction: General Contractor (GC) or Water Works Construction (WWC) grade 4 and above by relevant government authorities for 2018 E.C to undertake THE CONSTRUCTION OF THREE WATER SUPPLY PROJECTS IN THE GURSUM AND HARAWO DISTRICTS OF THE FAFEN ZONE SOMALI REGIONAL STATE.

2.A complete set of bidding documents can be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the ISLAMIC RELIEF ETHIOPIA (IRE), upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 500.00 which shall be deposited at Islamic Relief account No 1000007230714 at Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Bole Branch.

3. Bidders shall provide evidence satisfactory to IRE including performance of minimum 5 years’ experience, personnel schedule and work methodology and schedule.

4.At least the last Five years audited financial statement is required.

5. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of bids the total amount including vat in CPO or Unconditional Bank Guarantee, the bid security shall be valid for 90 days starting from bid opening date.

7. A two –stage procedure will be used for evaluating bids, first technical evaluation which will account a total of 50% of the total evaluation and

8. The second stage financial evaluation will account for 50% of the total. Only technically selected bidders will pass to the second stage financial evaluation. (Bid Offered being opened and evaluated for arithmetic error). The construction work will be awarded for the firm with highest combined score for evaluation.

9. Bidding envelopes containing a separate envelope sealed and marked “Bid Security,” “Original and Copy of Financial Document”

10. Bids must be delivered to IR Ethiopia before Tuesday 14 July 2026 at 10:00 AM Morning. Bid will be close same date at 10:00 AM and be opened on the same date at 10:30 AM in the morning.

11. IRE reserves the right to reject any or all offers without giving reason for doing so.
