INVITATION FOR BID

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) translates to doctors without border, is an international non-profit association. MSF Provides Assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict; irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions; and guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality. And to this end in Ethiopia, we are providing humanitarian aid in different regions in Ethiopia with country office in Addis Ababa.

Medecins Sans Frontières Belgium, Ethiopia Mission supports medical activities in collaboration with the Regional Health Bureau at Korem General Hospital and The Alamata General Hospital, Alamata. As part of our ongoing Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WATSAN) activities in the Korem area, we invite interested and qualified suppliers to submit bids for the supply of the following materials:

1. Stationery Supplies

2. Cleaning Materials

3. IPC (Infection Prevention and Control) Materials

4. Plumbing WATSAN Materials

Printing and photocopying paper

Detergents, disinfectants, and soaps

Hand sanitizers and soap dispensers

Pipes, fittings, and connectors

Pens, pencils, markers, and writing instruments

Brooms, mops, brushes, and dusters

Personal protective equipment (gloves, aprons, masks)

Taps, valves, and faucets

 

Folders, binders, and filing materials

Gloves, buckets, and cleaning cloths

Disinfectant solutions and surface cleaners

Water storage tanks and containers

Notebooks, diaries, and record- keeping books

Waste bins and plastic bags

Medical waste disposal supplies

Repair tools and maintenance kits

Envelopes and mailing supplies

 

 

Water testing and treatment supplies

 Eligibility Requirements:

Bidders must hold a valid business license, tax clearance certificate, and relevant trade experience. Preference will be given to suppliers with prior experience supplying to NGOs or humanitarian organizations.

Submission Instructions:

Sealed bids must be submitted to the MSF Ethiopia office by the deadline stated in the full tender document. Each bid must include technical specifications and a financial offer.

Evaluation Criteria:

Bids will be evaluated based on price, quality, delivery capacity, and past performance.

Important Notes:

  • All applicants must possess cash registers and/or QR code embedded payment receipts and that will be verified later by a visit.
  • MSF reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, partially or in full.
  • This invitation does not constitute a commitment to purchase.
  • Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Bidders must submit their technical/administrative documents and financial proposals in a sealed envelope clearly labelled for the category of the bid for which the offer is made in the tender box located in MSF Belgium Korem Project Supply Office at Korem General Hospital on or before 3rd July 2026 at 05:30 PM. Bids will be opened on later dates to be decided by the project and the successful bidder will be notified after review of all bids.
