In the framework of the EU funded Program “Contribution to the improvement of the Integrated Water Resources Management for the Wabi Shebele, Awash and Danakil Hydrographic Basins” NDICI AFRICA/2023/446-909 – AID 012968, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation – AICS Addis Abeba O/ice has launched a Call for Proposals divided into 2 Lots:

• LOT A – AWASH BASIN
• LOT B – WABI SHEBELE BASIN

To be eligible to submit a Proposal, Lead Applicants must:

• be a legal person
• be non-profit-making
• be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation as defined by Article 159(1) of the EU Financial Regulation
• have been directly operational in the project area in the past 3 years prior to the publication of the Call for Proposals. This means: a) having a functional o/ice in the basin area or b) having directly implemented one or more projects in the basin
• have previous experience in managing minimum one project with an overall budget at least equal to 700,000.00 Euro in the last 3 years prior to the publication of the Call for Proposals.

To clarify the contents of the Call for Proposals one information session is organized as follows:

i. In Addis Abeba on 6 August 2026 at 14:00 (EAT) at AICS O/ice, inside Embassy of Italy Compound, Villa Italia, Kebena, Addis Ababa.
