NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

Procurement Reference No.: EBI/NCB/PRINT/01/2018 E.C. (2026)

The Ethiopian Biodiversity invites eligible and qualified bidders to submit sealed bids for the Printing of Books.

1. Scope of the Procurement

The procurement includes the printing, binding, packaging, and delivery of the printing materials publications/books in accordance with the technical specifications provided in the bidding document.

2. Bidding Method

The procurement shall be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures in accordance with the Federal Government of Ethiopia Public Procurement laws and regulations.

3. Eligibility Requirements

Interested bidders shall:

  • Possess a valid and renewed trade license for printing services.
  • Have a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN).
  • Be registered for VAT.bbids to cons
  • Provide a valid Tax Clearance Certificate.
  • Be registered in the Government Supplier List.
  • Demonstrate experience in similar printing works.

4. Purchase of Bidding Documents

Bidders should deposit a non-refundable Five Hundred Birr (500.00 ETB) to the nearby Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) branch referring Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute on the Account Number 1000005069363, and should come with a bank deposit slip.

5. Bid Security

Bidders shall furnish bid security in the form of CPO or unconditional and irrevocable guarantee with an amount of One Hundred Thousand Birr only (ETB 100,000.00) in of Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute.

6. Submission of Bids

Bids shall be valid for a period of sixty (60) plus 30 days (90 days in total) after tender opening.

Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute has the right to request the Bidder to extend the validity period of the proposal for an additional day.

7. Bid Opening

All Bids must be delivered to the address below within 10 (Ten days) after the first day of this bid is announced in the newspaper at 10:00 AM. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened on the same date at 10:30 AM in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below. If this day is not a working day, the next working day is the day on which the bids should be closed and opened.

8. Reservation of Rights

The Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the bids, in whole or in part.
