1. BACKGROUND
Safaricom Ethiopia is looking forward to having a qualified Inhouse day care and Gym and fitness service providers to its employees with designated premises for the gym and daycare facilities to be provided by Safaricom Ethiopia. The service provider shall be responsible for supplying the necessary equipment, providing qualified staff, managing daily operations, and delivering the agreed fitness and childcare services in compliance with applicable safety, hygiene, and operational standards. Safaricom Ethiopia shall coordinate facility-related matters through the relevant internal departments. This is therefore an expression of Interest to invites qualified and experienced service providers to demonstrate their interest and capability to establish, equip, operate and manage an in-house gym and fitness service including the day care to Safaricom Ethiopia’s Staff.
A. Gym Service Provider EOI Requirement
The Gym service provider shall supply, manage, and maintain the necessary fitness equipment and provide qualified fitness personnel to ensure safe, effective, and reliable service delivery in coordination with Safaricom Ethiopia’s Facilities Department. Interested gym and fitness service providers shall express their interest and submit as per the minimum requirements outlined below
B. Daycare Service Provider
The daycare service provider will operate the service with designated employees and equipment required at daycare centers within Safaricom’s provided facility. Interested firms should have qualified childcare professionals, relevant experience, robust health and safety standards, and the capacity to deliver high-quality childcare services in a safe and engaging environment. Interested daycare service providers shall express their interest and submit as per the minimum requirements outlined below.

1. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

- Valid Business Registration Certificate.
- Valid Business License authorizes the provision of gym, fitness or related services.
- Valid Tax Compliance/Tax Clearance Certificate.
- Evidence of a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in providing daycare or early childhood care services.

2. Organizational Information and Experience

- Company profile, including services offered and years of operation.
- Evidence of providing gym and fitness services including client references where applicable.
- Details of the proposed management and operational structure.
- Information on current daycare operations, including enrollment capacity, age groups served, operating hours, and facility location(s).

3. Personnel Qualifications

- CVs of proposed fitness trainers, instructors and management personnel.
- CVs of key caregivers, supervisors, and management personnel.
- Copies of relevant academic qualifications and professional certifications.
- Evidence of relevant fitness training certifications.
- Evidence that caregivers hold valid First Aid certification.
- Any additional supportive accreditations or documents associated with the service type.

3. SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES
Interested suppliers should submit their response, comprising the documents listed above and the statement of compliance to the following email addresses bids@safaricom.et no later than November 2, 2026, at 5 pm.
All submissions to email should be less than 20MB in size, and if larger should be shared on a zip folder / link. Please indicate the mail title as “

NEXT STEPS
Once the responses are received the further process will follow the steps below.
- Review of submitted Expressions of Interest
- Prequalification of shortlisted suppliers
- Issuing ‘Request for Proposals’ to pre-qualified suppliers.
- Proposal evaluation and award for project commencement
NOTE The Following:
- Only the suppliers that meet our minimum requirements will be considered for further discussions.
- No prices should be provided with this EOI.
- The receipt of the response shall not bind Safaricom to any contractual agreements with the prospective bidder. Such arrangements shall only come in place once a tender process has been completed, and an award issued to a successful bidder after technical evaluation.
- Any costs associated with preparing and submitting the response to the EOI shall be borne by the respondent.
- EOI responses shall be submitted through the channel and by the deadline communicated in the invitation notice. Each response shall be signed by an authorized representative and shall include the respondent’s full legal name, registered address, contact person, telephone number and email address. Respondents shall state the validity period of their submission and clearly label any confidential information.
NOTE
Safaricom Ethiopia reserves, at its sole discretion, the right to select or reject, either in totality or partially, any or all proposals made in the context of this EOI. Any such decisions will be final, and no correspondence will be engaged in, other than to inform the bidders of the outcome of the process. Safaricom Ethiopia and its authorized representatives are hereby authorized to conduct any inquiries or investigations to verify the documents and information submitted in connection with this application
