EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
REGISTRATION AND PREQUALIFICATION OF SUPPLIERS
BACKGROUND
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Ethiopia Country Office invites legally established organizations to express interest in registration and prequalification for the provision of goods, institutional, professional and operational services, and construction, rehabilitation and associated works throughout Ethiopia.
The EOI covers three applicant streams:
- Goods, programme supplies and non-food items.
- Institutional, professional and operational services.
- Construction, rehabilitation and associated works.
Eligible applicants may include manufacturers, assemblers, authorized distributors, agents, importers, wholesalers, traders, retailers, consulting and research firms, logistics and transport companies, communication and media agencies, human-resource firms, security and facility-support providers, engineering firms, contractors, cooperatives, civil society organizations, joint ventures and consortiums, as applicable.
Applicants should select only the category or categories for which they hold valid legal authorization and can demonstrate the relevant technical, operational, quality-assurance and financial capacity. Applicants may apply under one or more streams through the same online EOI portal.
To be considered as a potential bidder, interested organizations should submit the online EOI form. Additional verification of any information submitted may be requested. Physical due diligence will be conducted as part of the EOI evaluation.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR PREQUALIFICATION
Interested organizations shall provide:
- Valid business registration certificate and trade license for the selected goods.
- Valid TIN and VAT registration.
- Relevant product-specific licenses, regulatory approvals or manufacturer authorizations, where applicable.
- Audited financial statements or other acceptable financial records.

The EOI including accompanying documents must be received by UNICEF not later than 10th October 2026; 5PM EAT
Interested organizations should complete the prescribed online EOI form and upload the required supporting documents through: Unicef-ethiopia-suppliers.com
Large files should be compressed, with each attachment not exceeding 10 MB when submitting the EOI.

- UNICEF reserves the rights to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI or tender process. UNICEF also reserves the rights to require compliance with additional conditions as and when issuing the final tender document.
