Local Construction Materials Transportation

Action For Development (AFD), a local organization, invites interested bidders to provide Dump Truck 16m3capacity, eg. Sino Truck, on rental basis, for its project entitled “Upscaling good practices to strengthen resilience and food and nutrition security of agro/pastoralists in Borena Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia, which is currently under implementation in partnership with Welthungerhilfe.

2. Eligible bidders are invited to take part in the bid upon submission of copies of renewed trade license, VAT registration & tax payer’s identification certificates.

3. Bidding will be conducted through open local tender procedure.

4. The bid document including specifications can be purchased from Action for Development, P.O.Box 19859, Addis Ababa Tel 011 662 59 76, 0939655371, or AFD Borena Field Office Yabelo Tel. 0464461110 and 0902943303, Fax 0464460231, against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00 during office hours, as of the date of this notice.

6. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond amounting 10,000 birr, in the form of C.P.O. or Unconditional Bank guarantee. Bid bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.

7. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelope, one original marked “Original”, and one copy signed in the same way as the original, and marked “Copy”, by stating the contract title – Local Construction Material Transportation Bid Ref. No -AFDAO-39/2026, at or before 2:00 P.M 6th July, 2026. The technical and financial offers must be placed together in a sealed envelope.

8. Bids will be simultaneously opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official representatives, who wish to attend, on 6th July, 2026 at 02:30 P.M., at the AFD offices in Addis Ababa and Yabello.

9. Failure to comply with any of the conditions indicated above will result in automatic rejection.

10. The Organization reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
