Provision of External Audit Services for [MCMDO]

1. Background

Mothers and Children Multi-sectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) is an indigenous, non-governmental, and non-profit organization established in 1997. It is re-registered in accordance with the Civil Societies Organization (CSO) Proclamation No. 1113/2019, with certificate number 0022.

MCMDO in collaboration with Humedica has been conducted a project titled “Locally based health care for Women and Children among pastoralist populations in Amibara and Awash Fentale district, Gabirasu Zone, afar region, Ethiopia” over a funding period starting on 01.10.2022 and ending on 31.09.2025. We would like to conduct an audit of the project.

Interested bidders are advised that the Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents can be collected from the MCMDO official website. Please visit www.mcmdo.org/bid  to download the full bid package and instructions attached as an annex to this document.

2. Deliverables and Timeline

The audit work must be completed within 7 days from the date of contract signing

3 Professional Qualification Requirements

The audit firm must meet the following technical criteria:

• Registered with the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE) with a valid category license.
• Demonstrate proven experience in auditing NGO or donor-funded projects.
• Provided profile and qualification of key audit personal
• Submit at least two reference letters from previous clients.
• Firm registration and legal document

4. Evaluation Criteria

Bids will be evaluated based on a Two-Stage Evaluation Procedure:

• Technical Evaluation (Weight: 50%: Based on firm experience, qualification of the audit team, methodology, and work plan.
• Financial Evaluation (Weight: 50%: Based on the total audit fee and payment terms.

Submission Location

Bid Closing and Opening

The bid will close 5/ five consecutive working days after the advertisement date in the newspaper (on June 28/2026).

Bids will be opened at Addis Ababa MCMDO Head Office on July 7, 2026, at 4:00 AM local time in the presence of bidders or their legal representatives.
